Photo Walk Description
Free street parking in the Broadbeach Surf Club area. We’ll go to the beach first up, then walk to the Broadbeach Mall to Surf Parade going North past the cafes and left at Queensland Ave to the GC Hwy and GC Convention Centre, back along the highway and over the footbridge (under the Monorail) to the Sofitel on Surf Parade. We’ll walk a block south to the new Oracle/Peppers complex (not yet on Google Maps) and finish up at either Kurrawa Surf Club or Max Brenner’s cafe. Will advise on finish asap. Look out for the raging bull outside MooMoo’s in Surf Parade!
I am a local professional photographer who is a past president of the Gold Coast Photographic Society. There will be a good representation of members coming along with whom you can buddy up for the morning. A fun walk and some photography tips thrown in… got to be the best value around.
Don’t forget the sunscreen and hat, hopefully we will have a beautiful Spring morning. Wear suitable footwear and bear in mind that we may be on the beach for 15-20 minutes to begin our walk.

Yeah this will be my first time ever walk and really looking forward to it.
I am checking out Max Brenners on Sunday morning and will see if they can cater for 50 on the 1st as a finishing point rather than Kurrawa.

Confirming finish at Kurrawa Surf Club. A reminder that it is a licensed club requiring sign in. If you have reciprocal rights via another club or live more than the required distance away, (is it 12km), then you will qualify. Failing that maybe one of our walkers is a Kurrawa member and can sign others in or join your local club in September. usually only costs from $2 to $10 depending on which club (Surf or RSL).

Hello, I’ve joined this event in Brisbane twice before, though I live on the Gold Coast. This time I registered GC photowalk as my first time and look forward to it.
We are rookies, good to have someone experienced along.
Broadbeach Surf Lifesavers are putting on a bit of a show to get us some great iconic beach images to kick off our walk, thanks to Petra for organising this with the Surf Club.
I received two emails saying I was listed for this walk. Is there any way I can check that I don’t need s split personality & two cameras??

Your just there once so one camera will do! The captcha code seems to be the stumbling block. I’m getting two emails every time one person registers.
David, I’ve noticed that my camera wasnt set correctly!!! Does that make them invalid? I cant believe it,as Steve had set it to the correct date, but the time was 12 hours behind.
