Photo Walk Description

We will begin the walk at the historic Bristol Sign on State St. From there we will proceed by down State Street, and then through some of the interesting back streets off of State Street. Plenty of opportunities for detail photographs as well as historic buildings. From there we will proceed to the rail cars along Volunteer Parkway. Along the way, we may have wildlife photos of ducks and kingfishers that are near the route. We will proceed on to the guitar at the chamber of commerce. From hear we will divide into two groups. One group will proceed down historic State St, turning by the Burger Bar and then proceeding onto the park on Cumberland St. The second group will venture onto the backstreets off of State St, by the Public Library, and then up the hill to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church and then proceed down the hill to the same park on Cumberland St. From there we will venture by the Train Station and then back to the Bristol Sign. This should be right at Sunset for great pictures of both the Train Station and the Sign. At dusk and after dark we will venture back down State St for shot of the street at night. We will then wrap up and grab something to eat as a group, share photography tips and stories, and just enjoy being around fellow photographers. A light tripod or monopod would be handy for the night shots. You can leave those in your car if you prefer till we get back to the Bristol sign at sunset if you prefer and then carry them. I am trying to change my walk from Abingdon VA to Bristol VA and the dialog is not changing my selection and updating the Bristol attendee list.
