• Bonn is celebrating and we will be there

  Hi folks,

  since Bonn is celebrating the NRW-day and the Deutschlandfest, I thought it might be worth modifying the route of the walk a little. We will still be meeting at the same location, but be aware, that you need to get there by public transport. If applicable, use the large parking areas and the shuttle buses. Closest tram stops are Rheinaue and Robert-Schumann-Platz.

  From the meeting point we will proceed into the direction of the Post-Tower through the Rheinaue park. In the area around the Post-Tower and the UN building there will be a lot of activities going on, which should be perfect for us. We then will proceed further on to the Villa Hammerschmidt, whose gardens will be open to public. Two stages will also provide us with an opportunity of taking some live concert photos (classical music, afaik).

  Since, the weather is going to be excellent, I suggest to officially end the walk here in the beautyful gardens of this villa with some beverages and/or beer.

  Interested parties can join me later proceeding downtown for covering different musical presentations at the various stages in the city centre.

• Important - A Little Further Update

  Hi folks,

  this is Thomas speaking. Mike and I discussed the availability of walkers on both Sundays and agreed that it would be best to keep the date (Oct, 2nd). Since Mike himslef will not be available on that weekend, I am going to take the lead of the walk on his behalf.

  October 2nd means, that there is also the North-Rhein-Westphalia Day taking place, as well as the celebrations to the 3rd of October. Hence, we have a big party going on in all of Bonn. I am thinking about modifying the route of the photowalk a little bit in order to integrate some of the celebrations, too.

  I hope, everyone is ok with our decision, feedback welcome!

• IMPORTANT - Change of Date

  Hi everyone,

  I’m really sorry to do this, but I have to change the date of the Bonn Photo Walk to the 9th October. I’m afraid it’s completely unavoidable and I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. Hopefully I’ll still see you all there!

   God, this page is so crappy. I’ll be at the Cologne walk on Saturday and will likely come to Bonn on Sunday, but I can’t register here for both walks.

     I’ve just posted a message and sent it to all registered walkers, but as you aren’t registered for this one, I thought I’d better let you know that the date has been changed to the 9th October. All other details remain the same.
