Photo Walk Description
Hi there, this update is last-minute, but hey, here it is! You will already have received mails about the general dos and don’ts for a photowalk and also gone through the general “tips and tricks”. As for the photography, just try and make it interesting and remember to have fun!
We’ll meet at 9:00 AM at the Silk Board bust stop (walkers from 2010 will rember the meeting place). After everyone, or as many people as willing, turn up, we’ll begin our walk from the Silk Board bus stop towards the Jayadeva Hospital side, take a left towards the Madivala lake (correct me if I have the name wrong) for a scenic walk along the lakeside. The park along the shore and everything around should make for some interesting subjects.
After about an hour, we’ll turn back to our starting point so that we can assemble back at 11:30 AM at the bus stop for a quick chat. Alternatively, we could head to a cafe close by (suggestions welcome) for a chat over coffee.
Remember that we are walking along roads with traffic, so “safety first” isn’t just a buzzword, it is a necessity. Remember also to charge your batteries before you bring them, carry only the equipment you need (additional gear will only add weight to your backpack!), wear shoes you will be comfortable walking in, and carry some water with you. And finally, this is not a “hardcore” competition, just a social gathering of shutterbugs who like to take pictures of life around them.
Note: Also keep an eye out for rain — the last couple of days has seen some rain the morning.
