Photo Walk Description
Currently working on a route which will include some of the more historical parts of Barrie, and part which will be more scenic for landscape shots. It will be approx a 2km walk or so. Following the walk, we’ll meet up at TLC bistro located on Maple avenue – Larry (the owner) provides delicious food and a variety of drinks (yes he is also licensed for those of you that would like to indulge in something a little stronger than coffee). Since this walk runs over Saturday and the Sunday, you are more than welcome to join us on either day, or both as you so wish. I’ll keep this section updated over the coming weeks, so please remember to check back occasionally to see whats new.

ok folks…hetres our route this year.
meeting at Heritage park, we’ll head west along lakeshore (towards the marina etc) and make our way past the spirit catcher, up around centennial to where the fountain is, and up as far as the intersection at the top of lakeshore.
From there, we’ll take care in crossing the road, (this is where Beaches is – formerly known as shutters restaurant is) and head back down bradford street.
We’ll continue along bradford street, crossing dunlop street over to high street and proceeding up to queens park.
Turning right to toronto street and follow around to Ross street. Turning right here will bring us back to Bayfield street and a short walk to TLC for those of you that are joining us after for a coffee etc…
you’re also a short distance away from where you may have parked. My suggestion would be to park near the spirit catcher as it will be more central for you.

Just a question or two. Will entrants be allowed to submit their photos from both days of the photo walk? Rain date would be the Sunday October 2nd?

Hi Kim,
I realise I have already replied to you directly, this is for the benefit of others whom may also be wondering.
Photos entries are restricted to the time period of the walk, specifically the day we hold it. I provisionally opted for Sunday as a back up in case the weather was inclement on the Saturday. The current forecast shows Saturdays weather will be reasonably good, so the walk should go ahead as planned.
Walk leaders were given the option of holding our walk on the Saturday or on the Sunday, which is why you see both dates listed this year.
