Photo Walk Description

Ballston Spa is a beautiful historic community in Saratoga County. We are lucky enough to start and end our walk at Brookside Museum, the home of Saratoga County’s Historic Society, but we are also going to have the opportunity to shoot some of the communities oldest and most beautiful homes. There will be opportunities for nature photography at Foote’s Pond or the gardens along the way, architecture photography throughout the walk, people and businesses as we make our way downtown. When we get back to the museum we will have snacks and drinks, and an opportunity to shoot inside the museum, or on the grounds and enjoy conversation with other photographers in the region.

  • Special "Historic" Photo Opportunities

    Bring your Macro lens, or throw some lighting in the car if you want. Brookside Museum is going to have some local artifacts from the past 200 years out for us to shoot. The Executive Director will be there with gloves on to put stuff out for us to get stills of some interesting items from Saratoga County’s and the surrounding area’s history. The 100 Years of Baseball (1850-1950) exhibit is going on, so balls, gloves, uniforms. Other stuff from the archives, too! This will be available at the end of the walk. So, you can chat and have snacks, continue to take some photos or both.
