Photo Walk Description
Start and meeting place of photowalk will be at the Baguio Cathedral Grounds. The group will be divided into two. Since our walk falls on a Sunday, there will be a lot of subjects and interesting things to capture even before the walk will start. From the Baguio Cathedral, we proceed to the Baguio Public Market via 2 routes, Group A will take route (1)-Session Road and Group B will take route (2)- Upper General Luna Road. From the Public Market we proceed to the Burnham Park (Igorot Garden, Athletic Bowl, Melvin Jones Park) area. The end of the photowalk will be determined (still awaiting for the sponsorship). Let’s all have fun and enjoy the day……

UPDATE GUYS! Since the group is only limited to 50 participants REGISTERED/ACTIVE BPC MEMBERS are a priority. We will still follow the 1st come- 1st served basis to be fair to others. Those who signed up over the limit will be placed under WAITING LIST…. The officers/BOD will decide if they will agree on a second group. PLEASE PASS… Thank You!!!

A.) Fisrt come-first saved basis will be followed. Applicants over the limit will be put in the waiting list. If ever an applicant wishes to back-out or give up his/her slot, applicants in the waiting list will get the roster.
B.) Prioritization of applicants is as follows: (1)REGISTERED/ACTIVE BPC member- (2) Non-BPC members. THE LIST IS NOT FINAL as of now….
C.) On the day of the photowalk, those in the waiting list can still join the walk, BUT will not particiate in the photocontest.
D.) Sponsorship is still under negotiations

Good day. For some reason, bullet A and bullet B doesn’t seem to jive at all; it is contradicting, in my opinion. I do not see the point of having a first come first serve basis, if the priority are BPC members. I would also like to question the need to prioritize the members. And how come, suddenly the list is NOT FINAL AS OF NOW, when in fact people have already registered?

First of all thank you for bringing up this issue Ms. Genett and Sir Martin re: the issue on the prioritization of who will be in the roster of 50 photowalkers. To answer your concerns. The Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk is an OPEN EVENT TO EVERYONE who wishes to register, with or without a club. The main goal of this photowalk/photocontest is to let everybody enjoy the day and build camaraderie with fellow photographers and alike. I have to admit that I DID NOT EMPHASIZE that the PRIORITY WALKERS of this PARTICULAR GROUP that i have created and registered in this event is for REGISTERED/ACTIVE BAGUIO PHOTOGRAPHERS CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. And for that i SINCERELY APOLOGIZE. Based on what we have experienced for the past 2/3 years, some of the walkers cancels out their spot on the list, that is why i mentioned that the list is still not final as of now. If ever a walker wishes to give up his spot on the roster, the one’s on the waiting list will get the spot. Walkers who will not make it to the top 50 can still join the walk but will not be able to join the contest. I hope this clears up the queries in mind. If you wish to ask more questions regarding the walk, i would be happy to entertain them through a private message. Thank you!

Since this is a RAIN or SHINE event, PREPARE YOUR RAIN PROOFING gears for your camera/gadgets. Please bring ponchos or umbrella also to protect you from the rain if ever. So lets have fun and see you there!

ou might wonder, since a storm is coming in by Sunday. To those registered on OCt 2 (sunday), can you join the Saturday (oct 1) group instead? Yes, you can, BUT your shots during that day will not be valid for the photocontest of the event since you are officially registered on the Sunday (Oct 2) group.

The day of the walk:
1. Safety is the top priority for this event. Each location is different and comes with its own dangers, so be aware of those things and make sure all of your walkers are aware of them too. Watch for traffic, don’t get too close to the edge, be aware of your surroundings, and so on. Keep an eye out for everyone during the walk as well.
2. Please bring water, and any other provisions you may need during the walk.
After the walk:
1. Walkers can share photos from their Photo Walk on our Official Worldwide Photo Walk Flickr Group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/1788566@N21/) and tag the same photo to http://www.flickr.com/groups/wwpw4. Photos from events all around the world will be shared here (the latter) so the entire community can see the global event they were part of. These photos are NOT PART of the competition (according to WWPW admin), but a great way for everyone to share their experience with the rest of the world. Alternatively you can also post your single best picture here in this FB group. If you have several to choose from try to share that to the group so that your designated group leader can pick one for you.
2. After the walk you can then login into your http://www.worldwidephotowalk.com account which will be the OFFICIAL repository of your submitted photos. So please don’t forget your name and password you used to enter the site.
3. Walkers will have until 12:00 noon EDT October 7th to submit your best photo to the contest ( http://www.worldwidephotowalk.com/ ).
4. Through the same site, I will be choosing the single best photo who will win the book “Light it, Shoot it, Retouch it” by Scott Kelby. I will have until Oct 10 to do that.

Due to the weather that we are experiencing now. Some changes have been made for tomorrows photo walk.
1. This event is still a GO.
2. Assembly time is changed to 9:00AM
3. Assembly place is Baguio Cathedral Grounds
4. ID’s. Pins and ID lace are provided by our sponsors
5. Minor changes in the route
– we start at Baguio Cathedral then
– Session Road
– SM Baguio City
– Chowking SM (for the lunch (KKB) and sharing from photo walkers)
Things to take note:

- wear clothes to keep you warm and dry

- AS OF SM BAGUIO’S DO’S & DON’TS during the event. WE ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS at the veranda and outside parts of the mall. Taking photos inside the mall like renovation areas or shops or inside the department store in strictly prohibited.
