Photo Walk Description
We are starting out from the front entrance of the Varsity on North Ave, and we will be walking through the midtown area. The walk is a little over a mile and a half. There is public parking just north of the Varsity and the machine there does take credit cards. A Marta rail station is also just a block away.

Please don’t bring a bunch of gear. A single camera and lens is enough, even an iphone will be fine. You’ll want this to be an easy and carefree walk through town. A big backpack, etc. will just weigh you down.
Unlike last year, the ending will be a bit different this time. The Atlanta Celebrates Photography show is having a public reception at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center (800 Spring St.) from 6pm to 8pm. Here’s a link to that event http://atlantaplanit.com/events/event.php?eid=49225. This happens to lie on our path heading back to the Varsity. So we’ll basically say the walk will end there since you’ll have an opportunity to meet some of the photographers having their work on display at ACP and the various gallery owners and reviewers. Again, don’t bring a ton of gear because you’ll just be hot and sweaty during the reception
