Photo Walk Description

We’ll start at the park to ease parking/travel/meet-up and then we’ll be taking a walking tour of the Fairlie–Poplar Historic District. We’ll finish up for lunch and drinks at Taco Mac to share and talk about our photos.

I’ve been photographing since the mid 80s and working exclusively with digital for the past 3 or 4 years. Photography is a passion that I very much enjoy sharing with others that are just learning or have lesson of their own to share. Getting together with other photographers from all walks of life, of all experience levels, is something I always look forward to and the Scott Kelby Photo Walks have been a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends.

Tripods should not be used for this shoot due to the size of the group and the difficulty we might encounter with a “tripod forest” and the general public trying to get around us. If you have a mono-pod you could bring that if you think you might need the additional stability.

When you get to the street corner in the morning you’ll find there is an amphitheater just inside the park entrance; let’s meet there since it will be easier to talk to the group as a whole and safer than trying to manage a crowd of people on a busy street corner!
