Photo Walk Description
Hello fellow photo-walkers. My name is Joe Myeress and this is my 4th year doing the Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. This will be my first as a leader and I am looking forward for you to join us on our walk in beautiful Athens, GA.
The route will be through the Downtown area of Athens, as well as the north side of the University of GA. The map shows where I plan to walk. But, really anywhere on North Campus or the downtown area is fine to shoot. The walk will take approx. 2 hr. We should finish around 11:30am. This will allow us to have an early lunch before the weekend lunch crowd. Good luck for us, there is NO game this day.Travel light for this event – walking and shooting for 2 hours will take its toll of you unless you are used to carrying lots of equipment.
This is not an instructional workshop type of event but you’ll have a great time and can learn a lot from the others shooting with you, seeing everyday things from a different perspective, looking at different gear, and just getting to know other photographers. THIS IS IMPORTANT- you do NOT need to have a pro camera to join us. If you have a point and shoot, a DSLR, or even your cell phone, you will have a good time.
