Photo Walk Description

Two Mills, One River: We will be walking along a short portion of Shaw’s Creek, seeing two dams and two old mills – both of which have been restored and given new uses. The walk starts at the Millcroft Inn where we will take in the waterfall, the mill and an exhibit of outdoor sculpture that will be there as a part of the Headwaters Arts Festival. From there we follow Shaw’s Creek downstream, walking beside the head-pond created by the dam at the Alton Mill. We will cross the pedestrian bridge to the Alton Mill (getting a great view of the falls) and check out this second old mill on our walk which has been restored as an Arts Centre. We will spend some time on the grounds of the Alton Mill to see the waterfall and the sculpture installations there before beginning the trip back to the Millcroft Inn. The return trip will be along a short section of trail that climbs to the top of a hill giving a view of the valley before dropping down into the parking lot at the Millcroft Inn where we began. (Those that prefer not to do the trail portion of this walk can retrace their route along the street to return to the Millcroft.)
I am a local photographer who has won numerous awards for my work. I have given beginner’s photography courses at the local community college as well as teaching PhotoShop at the local camera club. I have shown in galleries from Stratford to downtown Toronto, with prints in many private collections. My photos are regularly displayed in the Crimson Feather Gallery at the Alton Mill.

    Hi Craig,
I’m very exciting that my image was the winner for our walk.
I was wondering how do I get the Kelby book?
    Tnx
