Photo Walk Description

This year’s walk is planned to start at the corner of North Terrace and Frome Street, outside UniSA. We’ll walk down the newly developed North Terrace, past Adelaide University, Art Gallery, SA Museum and the State Library. Then we head through Gawler Place and down Rundle Mall to Rundle Street, where we’ll have lunch (for those who want to) at the Red Rock Noodle Bar (if you’ve got an Entertainment Card & Book, then bring you voucher). Please let me know if you’re coming for lunch (best via email andreas.kiermeier@gmail.com).

  • All done and dusted

Thanks to everyone who came out today, despite the early couple of rain showers we had to put up with. Again, I’m really pleased with the turnout and we had a great crowd of photographers wandering the streets of Adelaide.
Make sure you upload your best shot on this website and don’t forget to add your photos to the two Flickr groups:
    http://www.flickr.com/groups/wwpw-adelaide/ and http://www.flickr.com/groups/adelaidephotowalk/
    Thanks again for coming along!
    Cheers,
    Andreas

  • Are you ready?

    Hi all,
well, we’re only a day away from the walk. The weather forecast for tomorrow is a bit mixed (shower or two, mainly about the hills and southern suburbs). Irrespective of the weather though, we will be heading out for the walk, so make sure you wear sturdy shoes and a weather proof jacket – and maybe bring a shower cap for your camera.
    See you all tomorrow!
    Cheers,
    Andreas

  • Lunch is served

I’ve just made lunch arrangements. We’ll be going to Red Rock Noodle Bar on Rundle Street. Bring your Entertainment card voucher for a discount (if you have one). If you get the chance then please let me know ahead of time if you’re coming to lunch (email me at andreas.kiermeier@gmail.com). But don’t worry if you can’t … I’ll take a final head count on the day.
Look forward to seeing you all there … and don’t forget to get your friends to sign up if they haven’t done so.
    Cheers,
    Andreas

  • Where to for Lunch

    Dear all,
the World Wide Photo Walk is only just over a week away. It’s time to sort out a place for lunch (I’ve had problems contacting walkers through the website – hence a walk update).
Because I support the Entertainment Card, I’ve picked two options on Rundle Street – Taj Tandoor (http://www.tajtandoor.com.au/) or Red Rock Noodle Bar.
Please send me an email (andreas.kiermeier@gmail.com) to let me know which option you prefer (or if you don’t plan on coming to lunch). Please let me know by this Friday (23 Sep).
Look forward to seeing you there.
    Cheers,
    Andreas

    Hi Andreas

Have shared this link with Nadine and have asked that she sign-up .

Thank you for giving me the opportunity of joining in your photowalk.
It is a wonderful opportunity to share photography with Nadine and other photographers (it is what we both love most) whilst on my visit to Australia.

Thank you and can now not wait to get to Australia for my visit.

    Regards

    Robyn

    • Hi Helen,
haven’t had anything through the system (yet). I assume that you’ve done the full registration through the website. Might just take some time, though I’ve had problems contacting walkers.

  21. Stephen Muller says:

We are in! Hope the rain stays away.

    • Hi Stephen,
yeah, I hope so, too. Wan’t so much fun last time when we got drenched. With a bit of luck it should be OK, so fingers crossed.
Irrespective of what the weather does, we’ll go ahead.
      Cheers,
      Andreas

  22. Peter Horsman says:

    Hi Andreas,

Apologies for the late notice, I had to drop out at the last minute on account of the weather. Need to get myself some protective gear for my camera but was too risky walking about today without anything. Let me know if there is a way I can stay connected so I can come along on future walks. Hope you guys had a great time :)

    Cheers,

    Peter

    • Hi Peter,
I understand your thoughts about the weather, but you missed a great day. We had a couple of brief showers early in the walk, but otherwise the weather was great. Check out the photos we posted on Flickr (see my reply to Tony below for the link).
If you want to stay up-to-date with future walk then either subscribe to the news feed at http://adelaidephotowalk.blogspot.com/ or send me an email (andreas.kiermeier@gmail.com) and I’ll add you to my mailing list.
      Cheers,
      Andreas

  23. tony says:

  24. Paula says:

    Hi Andreas!

Thanks for leading a great walk! The rain behaved itself and it was a great photo walk route. Am looking forward to seeing everyone’s shots

    Cheers
    Paula

    • Thanks!
As usual I had a total ball! And I was really pleased that AJ managed to have a greaat time too (he really didn’t want to go … because of his broken arm, I think).
Tristan’s shin has come up nice and green … he really did a good job.
      Cheers,
      Andreas
