A Message From The Walk Leader

We are planning to drive “caravan style” (2 ½ to 3 hour drive one way) from Saint George, Utah, to Toroweap, Grand Canyon. The caravan leaves [11:30am 7/17/09] from Starbucks Coffee parking lot on Bluff Street.

We will be stoping for a quick lunch before leaving town on Friday.

Our “Photowalk” is a 1.5 mile loop that begins at Toroweap campsite #1 Saturday morning,
Starts [05:30AM 07/18/09] and Ends [09:00AM 07/18/09]
You do not need to camp to participate, just meet us at the Toroweap campgrounds spot #1, email me for further detailed information and local phone contact number.

This will be a great time to get away from it all, be in good company, have great food (bring your own, unless you signed up for the full weekend stay with the “Photographers Chasing the Light Group”) found here:  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=78528747529,

so, lets take a relaxing Photowalk with picturesque scenery. It is a place you will remember, a place unique and breathtaking.

Some things to note: Yes, the trip is in July. This will be hot, but in morning heat with good possibilities of nice clouds. But at the very least, the other great thing about July is few to no people there, which feels like we have the whole place to ourselves.

The conditions are primitive… no communications, no running water.

Start planning… clean your lenses, charge your batteries! Let me know if you have questions.
