A Message From The Walk Leader

Greetings Tarpon Springs PhotoWalkers,
It is my great pleasure to host the Tarpon Springs PhotoWalk for the second year.  Last year’s PhotoWalk along the historic Sponge Docks was great and this year’s PhotoWalk promises to be even better.  We’ll be hoping for a great Florida sunset and I’ve timed the walk to capture not only the sunset (8:23 pm) but part of the blue hour after the sunset.
This years walk will cover a different route as we explore not only the docks, but the surrounding neighborhood as well.  After the walk ends at 9 pm we’ll be adjourning to Paul’s Shrimp House.  The location can’t be beat, right next to the parking lot.  We may not have a view of the water, but chances are we’ll all want to cool of in the AC with a cold one.  Yes, Paul’s is where the locals eat, not some overpriced tourist trap on the docks.  The boiled shrimp is to die for and cheap, about $14 lb.  They have plenty else to eat too with appetizers starting at just a few dollars, burgers, salads etc.

The North Pinellas Photogrpahy Forum is helping to provide additional prizes for the winners.  Scott Kelby has not announced all the prizes and many other details yet.  I’ll update everyone when more details are known.
