A Message From The Walk Leader

A Bit of Confusion
Seems there might be a bit of confusion about timing of our Sudbury Photowalk so I thought I’d better clarify:

Date: Saturday, July 18th
Start time: 9:00 a.m.
Meeting location: Market Square
End time: Between 11 and 11:30 a.m.
Ending location: Fromagerie Elgin

It’s a go! The Fromagerie has been approved as our end point. And, what a place! It not only has an amazing atmosphere, but there are so many goodies to choose from including a fantastic selection of coffees, teas and now, wine! What a great after-walk meet we’ll have!

UPDATE:
We had a great suggestion yesterday from Brian at the Metro Centre. Why not finish up the walk at Fromagerie Elgin? We’re going to meet with Hazel from the Fromagerie today to see if she can accommodate 50 of us. We’ll let you know!

THE ROUTE
We’ve all driven through it a million times, most of us have walked it too (mainly with our heads down against the cold, cold winds). We’ve heard about it over and over on the local news. Yes, I’m talking about downtown Sudbury. Now’s your chance to really look, maybe even for the first time, at what’s in and around our core. It’s a great chance to rediscover our town as well as show the rest of the world what we’re all about.

Right now we’re working on the specific route but the initial plan is to start at the Farmer’s Market then take Elgin to Durham, Durham to Larch, Larch to Paris, Paris to Brady past Memorial Park and end up at Fromagerie Elgin. All route suggestions are welcomed though so keep your eyes open for future updates!

We’ll be starting at 9:00 a.m. and finishing up at 11:00 a.m. From 8:30 - 9:00 we’ll have a table set up where participants can sign the guest book and pick up their route map.
