A Message From The Walk Leader

I’m excited to be hosting/organizing the St. Cloud Photowalk! I think our city holds some great photographic opportunities, and it will be very exciting to participate in this world-wide event!

Event is open to anyone with a camera who would like to participate! We’ll meet at 7 am (location St. Cloud Library parking lot) and walk for 2 hours, and meet afterward to compare photos and chat. (And probably lots of coffee for those of us who aren’t normally early birds!)

I’m still finalizing routedetails, but we’ll plan to start and finish at the library. I will define a suggested route, but participants are free to roam wherever they’d like.

I know it’s an early hour, especially on a Saturday, but let’s make use of the early morning light and get some fantastic photos of our familiar city and surroundings!

I have created a Flickr group for this event. If you do not have a Flickr account, you should sign up for one to share your photos from the day. (Sharing is not mandatory, but so cool!) Membership to the Flickr group is open to anyone.  http://www.flickr.com/groups/stcloudphotowalkjuly09/

I’ve also officially declared our starting location to be the St Cloud Public Library parking lot. Please meet in the parking lot at 7 am. I’m going to map a suggested route, but participants are free to roam and meet up again back at the library. From there we’ll head to the Caribou by Crossroads to share our photos and some caffeine. I know we’ll have to drive over there, but it worked out that the meeting room was available, and since the library doesn’t open until 10, I thought it would be our best option.

Schedule:

7 am - meet at St. Cloud Library Parking Lot

7-9am - walk thru downtown and take photos!

9-9:15 am - reassemble at the St. Cloud Library Parking Lot

9:30-11 - meeting room at Caribou (next to Crossroads) reserved for socialization, sharing, and consumption of caffeine!
