A Message From The Walk Leader

July 17 Update Go on over to Scott Kelby’s Blog and see the awesome gift that EVERYONE registered for the WWPW will be receiving.  Incredible!  A big thanks goes out to Scott and the entire team who have worked hard to make this easy for us to enjoy.  (It is so exciting that I had to squeeze this edit into the beginning, rather than the end of all my rambling.)

Are you ready to be a part of this year’s largest social photography event in history, Scott Kelby’s WORLDWIDE PHOTOWALK?

Join fellow photographers, from enthusiastic hobbyists to professionals, for a morning of doing what we love - shooting photographs.  The leisurely walk will take us down historic Main Street in St. Charles.   This area provides an infinite amount of creative possibilities to shoot and enjoy.  People, places, textures, colors, old, new…..it’s all there waiting for you.

No pressure, no deadlines, just a relaxing morning of fun and inspiration.

*There is no charge to participate in this event, however, if you would like to spend some money go here to order one of the very cool, official 2009 Worldwide Photowalk t-shirts.  A portion of the proceeds goes to a very worthy cause.

JUNE 30, 2009 UPDATE:

Looks like we are going to have a great group for this.  We are almost full, so if you know of anyone dragging their feet, tell them to RUN and get registered today.

I’ve been working on a couple things for the day of the walk.  I’ve heard from some of you that you would like name badges and chocolate (wait, the chocolate part was a Freudian slip).  I’m working on making the badges and trying to get lanyards.  If anyone knows of a source for these or has any other suggestions please drop me a note. Countdown…….6 days!

Are you getting excited?  I hope you will take a little time to catch up on Brad’s WWPW Blog right on the home page.  He is feeding us some great info and has some links you will want to check out.

Name badges are ready.  I will be handing them out as we meet on Saturday morning.   Have you ordered your official WWPW t-shirts?  I got mine pretty quickly, so maybe you can still order on Monday or Tuesday if you want one.  Thanks!  Pam
