A Message From The Walk Leader

For this photo walk, we will be exploring and photographing historic downtown San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley! There are tons of things to shoot in this little city, from 50’s style art deco architecture, to modern buildings reminiscent of Star Trek, to quaint little shops.

We will begin, and end our adventure at Gordon Bierch, a well-known brewery in the heart of downtown. From there we will meander around the city hitting some select picturesque spots, ultimately returning to the brewery for lunch, conversation, and maybe a beer.

There is plenty of parking just across the street from the restaurant. Dress for the weather, wear comfy shoes, and be sure to bring your camera (any camera) charged up and ready to go. More questions? Check out the thoughtful FAQ Scott Kelby and team has put together.

Remember, photo walks are intended to be fun social events. No pressure, just fun!

We will meet up outside of Gordon Bierch on the sidewalk in front.

This is going to be a blast!

Great photo! Looks as good as Red plays the flute. Always enjoy hearing him play in the downtown San Jose area. Great going, Red!

love those photos (it’s my stompin’ grounds . . . ) . . . especially the dog . . . love that poochy look!! - haven’t seen cathedral that way and really like it - good job of finding something new to see in it - (question: How does one spell ‘Biersch’?) b

  3. nfarmer says:

Congratulations to the winner! Lovely portrait.
I knew from the moment I saw them, one of the two portraits (displayed above of the same subject) would be selected. Both are awesome.

  4. Red says:

    Nice photos…

    Can’t say I took a single photo…. though
guess I got a tad involved in this…. Since
    I’m the flute player…

  5. pkhfiberart says:

Thank you Frederick. Your time and leadership is appreciated. Enjoyed seeing photographers from last year and meeting the new ones. Through your suggestion took the time to talk and photograph more people this time, very rewarding. Great Day? Kay

Looking at the fantastic pictures posted by other participants of in the walk, it doesn’t seem like I also walked with them! I have so much to learn.

Thanks to Frederick for leading the walk. I had a good time…and I am already looking forward to next year’s Photowalk in San Jose, CA.

First of all, I want to thank Frederick for leading this photowalk. I had a blast even though I wasn’t able to attend the meet up afterwards. :(

Second, I think the photos coming out of this group have been fantastic. It’s always interesting to see how other photographers capture the same subject, settings, etc. Great job everyone!
