A Message From The Walk Leader

Greetings, and I’m looking forward to a great ‘walk with you on Saturday, the 18th, in San Francisco’s beautiful Marina District.

We’ll start at Crissy Field in the Presidio, and end on Chestnut Street at Emporio Rulli’s Gran Caffé. This ‘walk has such a variety of subject matter! We’ll have beach scenes to play with, including world-class windsurfers and a fantastic view of the Golden Gate bridge, the San Francisco Yacht Club marina, as well as the beautiful grounds of the Palace of Fine Arts, classy Marina district neighborhoods, and the always lively Chestnut Street. Something for everyone.  It’ll be a gas.

While photowalks are often planned in a circle route, this one is a short one-way trip, start to finish. However, no matter where you park — within the Marina neighborhoods, at the beach, or near the end point on Chestnut Street — it’ll be a short and picturesque walk to your car to finish the loop. We’ll promote carpooling too at the beginning and end of the ‘walk.

I will be at the wind sock meeting point in Crissy Field at 9:30, if anyone wants to come early and talk shop. At 10:00, I will give directions for 3-4 different routes toward our destination / food / chimping headquarters.
