A Message From The Walk Leader
Hello photowalkers! Thanks to those that braved the heat and joined us on the 18th for our photo walk around the capitol and Old Sac. It was nice to meet so many of you and share your visions of photography. I wanted to remind you of some critical dates:
PHOTO CONTEST DEADLINES!
July 25, 11:59 pm EST: Deadline for photo walkers to upload their images for consideration. No photos received after this time will be considered in the contest.
August 1, 11:59 EST: Deadline for walk leaders to upload the best photo from their walks. No photos received after this time will be considered in the contest.
August 17: The grand prize winner and 10 honorable mentions will be announced on the Worldwide Photo Walk website.
You need to logon to this site with your userid/password and follow the videos on how to submit two photos for the contest.

Congratulations to James Moehrke for submitting his image of No. 4466. This image was selected as the winner of the Sacramento Photo Walk and has been submitted to the National Photo Walk site. His picture of this Union Pacific steam train engine embodies the role of the train in Sacramento’s history. Choosing one image was a really tough job and all walkers are to be commended for producing such great images! Thanks to all for joining us on the walk!
