A Message From The Walk Leader
Thanks for your interest in the Rochester, NY edition of the Worldwide Photo Walk 2009.
My plan is that we will walk for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from University Ave, down the Neighborhood Of TheĀ Arts, over to Eastman Theater, pass by the Little Theatre andĀ up on East Ave, maybe we cut over to the residential area of Park Ave (if we have enough time left) and back over to Univsersity Ave. The whole trip is about 3.3 miles, so it’s a nice workout. This also means that you should pack lightly. I promise that I will not bring my 25 lbs of glass, I will try to limit myself to two lenses, maybe three…
We will start at 5PM and return between 7 and 8PM - this will give us hopefully much better light than if we would do it earlier. How long it will take depends on how much time the picture taking part takes… I’ve done a “dry-walk” and it took me (minus the half hour lunch break) about 2 hours and 10 minutes. Please arrive about 15 minutes early, so that we can introduce ourselves before we start our walk at 5PM.
After the walk, we can get together for 30 minutes or an hour at Pomodoro’s on University to sit/drink/talk/show our pictures.
Bring a snack, bring water, and wear comfortable shoes! And plan for the Rochester weather. The forecast for Saturday anticipates a 40% chance of rain. Make sure that you have something to protect your camera and lenses.
