A Message From The Walk Leader

Welcome to the first annual Plymouth Photowalk. We have a beautiful town to photograph, and Plymouth waterfront is easy to walk with lots of interesting sights: Brewster Gardens, Jenney Pond, Burial Hill, The Mayflower, The Boat Pier, The Town Wharf and more.

We’ll be conducting the photowalk on July 18th, 2009 at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Rain or shine: bring raincoats or umbrellas if needed.

After ending the photowalk we’ll be meeting at The Lobster Hut on the waterfront for a wrap up to the walk.

Here’s a link to possible parking places in Plymouth, some are free.

The meeting place is in the parking lot just past the Jenney Grist Mill, there’s lots of free parking there and it’s about a mile from the waterfront.

The route we are going to walk is on a google map here. Please take a look at it or make a copy so you know where to meet up in case you get separated from the group. The Burial Hill Cemetery is located up a steep stairway and is optional.

Deadlines

Here are the three most important dates you will need to be aware of:

• July 25, 11:59 pm EST: Deadline for photo walkers to upload their images for consideration. No photos received after this time will be considered in the contest.
• August 1, 11:59 EST: Deadline for walk leaders to upload the best photo from their walks. No photos received after this time will be considered in the contest.
• August 17: The grand prize winner and 10 honorable mentions will be announced on the Worldwide Photo Walk website.
