A Message From The Walk Leader

We will meet at Yaquina Bay State Park. My thinking is that from here, there are at least three distinct directions people could go: 1) the bay front, with boats, industry, murals, tourists, etc.; 2) the bridge, either walking on it, photographing it from the north side, or even walking over it and heading to the South Beach Pier, etc.; 3) the beach and/or state park itself.

My thinking is that we don’t have to stay in one group, but if a few want to go one direction & a few go another, that’d be just fine — maximum freedom & opportunity.

Many of these photo walks are starting fairly late in the day, but I was thinking that 8:00am would be a good compromise starting time — not too early, but not in the harsh light of mid-day, either (assuming it’s not overcast, in which case it doesn’t really matter what time of day it is, right?).

Let’s meet back at the starting place at the end of our time (10:00am) to review, compare photos & discuss. If some then want to go to lunch after that time together, then smaller groups can do as they like.

Bring a camera (any kind, no snobs allowed) and maybe some water to take on your walk.
