A Message From The Walk Leader
AND THE WINNER IS . . .
… first let me say that it is never easy to choose a winner out of all the great photos from the walk. I like so many for different reasons. I guess it just depends on what mood you’re in at the time. Anyway, some that really caught my eye were the “bench in front of the library” by littlerdcera; wonderful textures and lines. “artist in residence” by bobbie is interesting. Picture of a girl selling her art sitting in an empty lot with other for sale signs all around her. “second floor library” by hugo was a very clean picture especially considering the lighting issues. The map toning was excellent and it is extremely sharp and clear. “041″ by cheyennegodfrey is very cool. Multiple images layered to bring out a feeling of time and energy. I could almost hear the music coming out of the steeple. I could go on and on about the farmers market photos and pictures made at the capitol building or sky reflections on hood of a VW. All great stuff! Thanks for sharing. So here’s what I choose as the winner based on … well, I just liked it at the time.
WINNER: “montpelier • reflections” by origamidon The flying man with arms reaching for the glass like balls reflected on a downtown scene. It has movement, mystery, imagination, and strangeness. Congratulations origamidon.
Check it out! montpelier • reflections

Enjoyed the day and the company, It is always nice to connect with other photographers. Thanks for your efforts in making this possible
And my thanks too for putting this together for our fair city! I had a great time too and enjoyed meeting and chatting with a very nice group of people. Most definitely will stay on my calendar of annual events. I can’t think of one special spot that I enjoyed the most.. each area we visited had so much to offer through the eyes of a shutterbug. PhotoWalkers are invited to join my group in Flickr and add their photos. It’s all about Vermont people, places, history and how we live here in the Green Mountain State.

This was a great time, Roger! Thanks for all the fun!
Glad you had a good time. I’m looking forward to seeing all the photos especially in a format larger than a thumbnail. These old eyes need a larger image to really appreciate the composition.
Check out John’s picture of the second floor in the Kellogg Hubbard Library. It’s called “library.jpg” Nice use of highlights and shadows.
Check out Bobbie’s photo of “artist in residence.” It tells a great story and is full of symbolism! Well Done!
