A Message From The Walk Leader

We’ll meet at the Midland Town Dock at the bottom of King Street in downtown Midland.  There’s an amazing amount of subjects from the tall grain elevators (including a giant mural painted on the silos), a huge metallic swan sculpture, to the many boats and rustic charm of the old marina.  From there we can stroll within a few blocks to view and photograph the many murals of downtown Midland. Midland has some of the finest wall art (murals) in Ontario.  There’s even one dedicated to photography (right beside the Beer Store) depicting Budd Watson (one of my mentors) and J.W. Bald.  We may even have a freighter in dock unloading grain or gravel.  A very picturesque town indeed.
