My Walk is going to be in and around Historic Downtown, Franklin Street, Michigan City, Indiana!

Michigan City  is on the shore of Lake Michigan, at the Eastern edge of the Indiana Dunes and has some of the most diverse photo opportunities to be found anywhere! Only 50 miles East of Chicago you can see the Chicago skyline from the beach. The city has one of only a few lighthouses in Indiana (It actually has 2, a working one and a historic one, which is now a museum). Our walk will be focused on the downtown area, which host an eclectic variety of architecture from Cape Cod to Victorian, and Post-Modern. We will be starting our walk near the award winning Michigan City Public Library, designed by renowned architect Helmut Jahn. We are close enough for side trips to the very photogenic locations of the Washington Park Zoo, Barker Mansion, International Friendship Gardens, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, Mount Baldy, (a large wandering sand dune) or the Old Lighthouse Museum. You can also stop by the Lubeznik Center for the Arts to check out the local Art scene!

Photowalkers will only pay $25.00 at the door (Regular price is $60.00!) for this fantastic dinner/show/event!

Note: you must actually be a Photowalk participant to get the Photowalk price! You can’t just sign up for the Photowalk to get a discount to “One Thousand and One Nights” I’ll be handing out discount cards to participants at the end of the Photowalk.

Local Merchants and organizations will be offering free goodies and prizes for some fun and funny contests we’ll have; and I’ll be giving out lots of fun prizes and surprises on our walk!
