A Message From The Walk Leader

We did it! We just completed the first Photo Walk of Madisonville as part of Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk. Just about everybody was on time for the 7 a.m. jump start and the group hug and portrait went on time as well. We all meandered our way through the planned route and saw a lot of things we had never seen before despite passing through these areas all the time. Old brick walls and walkways, boarded up show windows, a tattoo parlor, a yard sale, a thoughtful garden… just a few of the remarkable things you see in downtown Madisonville on a cool Saturday morning in mid July. Nobody wanted to stop 2 hours later but stop we did and met at the Madisonville City Park for coffee, donuts and biscuits-typical Madisonville breakfast fare. Comparing gadgets, shots and techniques took a little more time and we all went home to start the grueling job of reviewing our pictures, editing and finally submission. A saturday morning well spent. Thank you everyone, we look forward to viewing your entries.
