A Message From The Walk Leader

This year marks the first year that Scott Kelby’s  Annual Worldwide Photo Walk is being held in Leominster Massachusetts. The first year of the photo walk had 8,334 photographers register to participate in 47 countries.  Within the U.S. 44  of the 50 states had photo walks.  There were a total of 236 cities involved worldwide with over 1,017,125 images taken.  This year it is expected that there will be more countries and cities participating in the photo walk.  Scott Kelby is the publisher of Photoshop User Magazine and head of National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP). Join us and help make it a success. Leominster is a beautiful city with many unique sites. Come and capture those sights with us and we all can show the world what a beautiful city Leominster is.

Peter Christoph, a Trip Leader of the Camera Club of Central New England, and frequent  Photography Trip Leader with the Appalachian Mountain Club, will be leading the Photo Walk in downtown Leominster.  His photography studio is in Leominster, and he is very familiar with the downtown area.  Also, the C0-Leader, Karen Homan, is a longtime resident of Leominster and can help point people in the right direction during the walk. There is no cost to enter the event. The walk is limited to 50 people, on a first-come first-served sign up basis.

We are going to meet outside the Monument Grill (address is 14 Monument Square, Leominster, MA), from there we will walk around the city photographing the interesting life and sites downtown, then meeting back at the Monument Grill to gather, talk, eat, drink, and share pictures. Food at the Monument Grill is reasonably priced and their website is http://themonumentgrill.com.
It will be a wonderful time and I hope you will join me.  All you need to bring is: yourself; any kind of camera -  from a cell phone camera, to a point-and-shoot, to a DSLR (those big fancy cameras with the interchangeable lenses; and optionally some cash for food and drinks when we reach our end destination.

After the event, photographers will be able to upload and submit their images for prizes given for the best shots from throughout the world.
