A Message From The Walk Leader

Just a quick update to thank all of you for your patience.  We’ve had nearly 15 people make it from the wait list onto the official list.  We still have a few people on the waiting list, so if you’re registered for this event but can’t make it, please let me know so that I can move folks onto the official registration.

Along those lines, we’ve been encountering a problem with the registration here on the website.  Somehow, even though the event is full, a couple of folks have been able to register through this site.  This is a mistake. ALL future registrations for this event must be made directly through me so that we can assign places to those already on the wait list. If you register for the event here - without contacting me directly - I will have to cancel your registration and put you on the waiting list instead. Please know this is a bug with the website and not anything personal on my part! 

That’s about it for now - all official communications are coming to registered attendees and those on the waiting list via e-mail.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

One last thing: 35 of you have expressed an interest in joining us for the post-PhotoWalk dinner.  14 of you have not yet prepaid for dinner as requested in my e-mail of Thursday, July 2.  Because I have to sign the contract this week, I must receive payment by Wednesday, July 8 at 3:00 p.m.  If you didn’t get an e-mail requesting payment, but you would like to attend the dinner, please contact me immediately.

Wow - THAT was fast!  We filled up in a hurry, just like last year.  Two things:

1 - if you want to get on the waiting list, e-mail me at alansisto@freshpageimages.com

2 - if, for any reason, you need to cancel, please let me know so that I can get someone from the waiting list into the PhotoWalk.

3 - be sure that the e-mail address you used to register is accurate.  I’ll be sending out informational e-mails soon.  (Anyone who went to last year’s with me will tell you they never lacked for information!)

We had a full crew of 50+ folks join us last year for Scott Kelby’s First Annual Worldwide PhotoWalk at our selected location in Laguna Beach, California.  It was a great opportunity to get to know other photographers, have some fun shooting and enjoy a little food & drink afterwards!

So - as they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.  We’re going to do the same thing - with a few minor tweaks - as we did last year, so get on-board and get ready for July 18!

The sun won’t be going down until 8:00 the day of the PhotoWalk, so we’ll be starting late in order to have an opportunity to catch some nice sunset shots towards the end of our PhotoWalk.  We haven’t finalized details on our post-walk meal, but I’ll be updating you all in the next couple of weeks as we move forward.  That’s about it for now - stay tuned, though!
