A Message From The Walk Leader

Kissimmee used to be known as the Cow Capital of Florida. These days there is an interesting mixture of waterfront (osprey, cranes, ducks as well as people fishing), a red caboose, cool monuments and historic buildings that should make for a great PhotoWalk.

We’ll meet at Historic Courthouse and head southeast to Lake Toho where there is a neat lighthouse and the marina used in the blockbuster (straight to video) “Bait Shop” before swinging back to downtown to finish at the Nature’s Table (most likely). Hopefully, we’ll take in the unique  ”Monument of States” and the Bataan-Corrigedor memorial along the way.

Check out Scott Kelby’s blog, as he notes,”you don’t have to be a pro, or have a DSLR camera, or any of that stuff—-it’s not about the gear, or your level of experience; it’s about having fun with a bunch of other friendly photographers.”

Thanks to Nature’s Table. Mention the walk and you’ll get $1 off your meal on the 18th.

Must read material.

And here’s a great post about what to bring. If you’re like me you’re always wondering what lens or lenses will be best. Here are some thoughts.
