A Message From The Walk Leader

I’ve lived in the Historic District of Roswell since 1994, and know quite a few of its special places…

The Historic District of  the city of Roswell has 640 acres of  civil war era homes, churches, historic site and cemeteries, with 122 acres of area listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our photowalk will begin at the Gazebo in the Roswell Town  Square. Everyone will be given a Self-Guided, walking tour map listing 43 individual historic sites, each with brief description and history.

At the end of the walk, we will all meet  up for lunch, discussion and a chance to show each other some pictures.

For more information about the Historic District Roswell, please visit the Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau

It was so much fun to get together with everyone! I can’t wait to see all the shots. What I missed living in Roswell all that time!!! Who knew??

I went to the Chattachooee Nature Center after our walk, but all the butterflies had been released for the day. Maybe that could be another location for a get together.

Mike, thanks for organizing this. It was nice getting to meet you. I hope that we can do it again.

  5. Just finished uploading two of my pictures. I had a great time at the photowalk and learned quite a lot about the area in the process. I can’t wait for the next one!

    Hi Mike,
Had a great walk and enjoyed meeting new people on such a fabulous morning in Roswell.
I am making every attempt at uploading a photo but this site is very slow.
It still doesn’t recognize my username.
That’s ok. I really didn’t take anything of grand proportions that it would knock the socks off any judges.
I gained more just hanging out with fellow enthusiasts.
