We now have the Palace Theater in which to photograph from 8:30-9:00 AM - Thank you Sonja!
The Georgetown Library is also aware that we may enter there to escape the rain from around 9:00-9:30 AM.

Schedule:

7:30 AM - Meeting Time on Courthouse Lawn (Cianfrani Coffee opens early)
8:00 AM - Begin walk in Courthouse
10:30 AM - End of Walk
11:30 AM - Lunch at Wildfire
1:00 PM - Approx. End of Lunch

Our photowalk begins in front of the newly-restored Williamson County Courthouse in the quaint Georgetown Square. Once you have had your cup of Cianfrani Coffee (who is opening early for us at 7:30 AM) we will start out about 8 AM inside the courthouse atrium, then leisurely make our way to Blue Hole/VFW Parks. Along the way, we will pass modern and historic buildings, older cottages, an antique shop and private flower beds. We will arrive at a T-junction on the hike and bike trail that borders Blue Hole and VFW parks. At this point we will stop for park/nature photography as you choose which adjacent park to visit. This will be the official end of the walking part of our event. San Gabriel Park is beyond VFW Park and there will be time for those with the inclination and energy to continue on before we meet up for lunch.

We will walk until about 10:30 AM and then reconvene for lunch at Wildfire Restaurant just off the Georgetown Square at 11:30 AM. Wildfire will be providing a private room and set menu for us.

The lunch menu is set at $10 per person including soft drink, plus tip to equal $11.80 total.

The City of Georgetown is also hosting contests, open to all participants in the Photo Walk. Participation is voluntary and there will be prizes.  All contest participants will get recognition on the city’s website. Please see my blog for details on the city contests and prizes.
