A Message From The Walk Leader
The Beautiful Filberg Gardens make a perfect setting for the first Comox leg of the Worldwide Photowalk, offering a wide range of scenic vistas, with the Marina, the mountains, and so much more. Add to this the beautiful and diverse flora and fauna often seen at the Gardens and we have many subjects waiting to be captured and shared with the global community of Photowalkers.
We will gather around 2:30 to 3pm in the park area near the Hands-on-zoo and proceed through and around the park for a while, ending at the Tea House starting around 4. The Tea House will be setup for outdoor seating but will also have a table setup inside for viewing and selection of images.
Selection will take place after the walk based on the images that you upload here, so please ensure that you understand the procedure or contact me for further assistance once you’ve selected your favourites. Then stay tuned to this page for the list of photos uploaded, and to see the results of our local group.
Of course, you are also invited to take part in the other area walks in the Valley, with both Cumberland and Courtenay walks taking place on the same day at different times.
Cumberland - 10am
Courtenay - 6:30pm
I look forward to meeting you on July 18th!

- Local Walk Winner

A winner has been Selected from the Comox Walk to move up to the World-Wide competition. Congratulations to Sherry Sine for her wonderful image of the young fawn that was hiding in the woods as our walkers hunted for subjects. All of the images are quite well done, and the final selection was very difficult especially with the variety of styles and subject matter. Thank You to everyone for taking part and submitting your image, and good luck to Sherry in the next stage of the competition.
Cheers!

Just a quick Thanks to all that took part in my walk, and to those that organized and supported the walk World-Wide. A Great time was had here, and we had perfect weather, and I know I’ll be taking part annually where possible.
