A Message From The Walk Leader

Come and join us as we walk the scenic pathways by the river in Galt. There are lots of places to stop and take pictures, and if you fall behind, the route will pick you up again as we come back on the other side of the river.

Starting at the Southworks Mall parking lot, we’ll begin with the stoneworks of the old foundry, which themselves could be the subject for hours of photography. Then we’ll head across the street and north through the art park.

Moving on, we will continue to Main Street and pause at the churches, the Square and the Library. Those who want a shorter walk can take a rest, cross the bridge at Main Street and meet us as we come down the other side. Those who are up for the longer walk will continue up Grand Ave to Park Hill and the dam, cross the river and back down through the old Mill Race park.

Meeting up with the others again at Mill Street, we will continue down the river walk along River Street to Concession, cross the river again and end up at Barnacle Bill’s.

It’s going to be a great walk with lots of photo ops. A great chance to meet other photography enthusiasts and share tips and tricks.

After Lunch if you haven’t had enough yet, you will have lots of time to enjoy the shops at Southworks Mall and spend the afternoon taking more pictures!
