Beacon Hill and Charles River Esplanade
Join us on this fun photo walking tour of the historic and beautiful Beacon Hill and Charles River area. We’ll start at the steps of the State House and possibly be able to photograph the reinactment group from the Civil War’s 54th Infantry Regiment across the street at the Robert Shaw Memorial, who may be there, then continue into the heart of the delightful Beacon Hill area with it’s narrow streets, gas streetlamps, gorgeous brownstones and fascinating architecture, including the cobblestoned Acorn Street.
We’ll cross over the bustling Charles Street with it’s antique shops and fine restaurants, where we can grab an authentic gelato, then over the Arthur Fielder Footbridge to the Hatch Shell area of the Esplanade along the Charles River. We’ll follow the river and watch the sailboats from Community Boating, see the fabulous Longfellow Bridge, then top it all off with a walk to what used to be the Charles Street Jail which is now the stunning, vibrant Liberty Boston Hotel. The interior is not to be missed - nor is the cocktail lounge after our fabulous walk.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you photo enthusiasts! Our walk is about 1 mile.
