A Message From The Walk Leader

Hey there, I’m Phil - photographer, blogger and photoblogger. I’ve been to many great photo walks, and organised a few, both locally and around the Island. All you need is a camera and some walking shoes.

This is a social event designed for meeting other photographers and enjoying a walk around this great city. Your camera can be big or small; it’s about enjoying yourself and looking at things differently.

We will be collaborating with Trans Belfast which had already planned a photo walk entitled: Lesser-Spotted Victoria Square where we will all get full access to Victoria Square Shopping Centre to take photographs, ideally of areas other than the observation deck.

Afterwards we’ll head to the streets of the Cathedral Quarter where there will be live art, musical entertainment and street performance.

As a side note, although this is generally promoted through Flickr, - why not give the little guy a go too when uploading your photos. Pix.ie is an Ireland-based photo sharing community; I recently wrote about the site, and a guide for uploading your photos.

I believe the official tag is ’skphoto’ (you could also use ’skphotobelfast’ so our own can be easily found).
