A Message From The Walk Leader
When we go out to take pictures, we usually go alone. It is time to change this. Let’s make photography a social event. Everyone is welcome on this Photowalk. Bring your camera, big or small, and have fun. Many of us head out to the lakes and forests to take pictures, but how many of us have thought about the great shots waiting for us in Bancroft itself. Eagles’ Nest and the York River have been features in several publications, and the town itself offers opportunities for great pictures.
We will meet at the parking lot on the south side of the IDA pharmacy (previously IGA parking lot) at 10:00 and enjoy street photography along Hastings Street, sharing ideas as we take pictures. At Station Street, we will cross the York River and enjoy landscape photography along the Hasting Heritage Way (the rail trail), the York River, and Eagles’ Nest.
We will cross the foot bridge and go through Millenium Park to finish at the Sword Restaurant, where we will have lunch and share our photos with each other.
