A Message From The Walk Leader

Hello everyone! This is our second annual Scott Kelby Photowalk through Fairlie-Poplar and rain-or-shine it will be a great time! Last year we had “iffy” skies in the morning but ended up with an overcast day that worked great for us and kept it a bit cooler. This year is shaping up to have similar weather but just in case you might want to prepair for sprinkles - which should help ensure they don’t happen!

Travel light for this event - bring your camera and one or two lenses but no tripods (please). If you feel more comfortable shooting with a mono-pod, that’s fine but 50 people with tripods is a but much to safely manage on busy sidewalks.

UPDATE: several folks have asked about parking. I’ve found there is plenty of reasonably priced parking along Techwood Dr NW near the corners of Walton St. and also Nassau St. Basically across the street and North a wee bit from where we’re meeting.

UPDATE2: I’ve made arrangements for us to meet after the walk at the Taco Mac near the arena (easy walking distance) and while it is up to you to cover your own lunch it will still be great fun to hang out for a bit, chimp a few photos, and share a beer or two.
