A Message From The Walk Leader
Route is available here. I walked it last weekend and it looks like the timing is perfect. I’ll be posting a few photos of the highlights on the route and some tips this week so be sure and check back.
Some of the highlights of the route include:
- Alexandria Farmer’s Market at the Alexandria Town Hall
- The cobblestone path of Prince Street
- Views of the Potomac River from Waterfront Park
- The Torpedo Factory
- The historic row houses along Cameron Street
- The grounds of Christ Church
- Wrapped up with lunch at historic Gadsby’s Tavern
The route is just over 1 mile but should provide plenty of subjects to fill up 2 hours.
